Discussions with Rockingham council

Dear members following discussions with Rockingham council we must introduce a couple of rules.

1. Fuel powered aircraft can only be used between the hours of 7am to 7pm.
That means no flying before 7am

2. Aircraft may only fly over the area designated.
That means that we must not fly over the bush area to the West of the salt lake.

If you have a noisy aircraft please ensure that you re-engineer it to be quieter.
The club has a noise meter that can be used to help with this.

I trust that everyone will help with this and ensure our continuation of the use of the lake as a flying area.

Noise level of aircraft using the Lake.

Flying is not permitted over the bushland or railway line.

It is a requirement on all of us to ensure that our models are reasonably quiet.

Model aircraft are only to be flown over the lake.

All fuel powered engines MUST have an adequate silencer.

Propeller’s should be sized to ensure that they do not emit excessive sounds by breaking the sound barrier by their tip speed.

If you have a noisy aircraft then it is your responsibility to re-engineer it to be quiet.

The club has a cheap sound meter that can be loaned out to anyone wishing to reduce the noise of their model.

A little film my phone and google put together

This is a auto awesome that google put together from my phone a few weeks ago, it even added music. Sadly it added a pick of my quad-coptor at home in the afternoon that don’t fit but I like the rest. 🙂

Sadly prop broke mid flight and the landing was a little harder and faster than planned 🙂
